Meet Our Team

Chris Karagiannis - President / Co-Founder

Chris Karagiannis, President/Co-founderChris Karagiannis is the President and co-founder of Monolith Construction. As the President, Mr. Karagiannis oversees all personnel, site operations, and new job procurement. All project managers report directly to him. Mr. Karagiannis has over 15 years of professional home building experience. Prior to co-founding Monolith Construction, Mr. Karagiannis worked as a project manager for a large home builder in New York. Mr. Karagiannis specialized in custom luxury homes on Long Island, building in some of the most expensive zip codes in America. Mr. Karagiannis also worked for the Hempstead, NY Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter and a New York State Certified Emergency Medical Technician (#341964). Mr. Karagiannis is also OSHA Certified. Mr. Karagiannis earned a BS in Fire Science from Nassau Community College.

Bobby Pokora – Founder

Bobby Pokora, FounderMonolith Construction was Founded by Bobby Pokora. Monolith Construction provides a unique set of professionalism to the construction industry. With a background in Real Estate securities analysis, Investment Banking, and Private Equity dealmaking, Mr. Pokora understands the financial challenges of efficiently running a construction firm.

Chris Foisy - Senior Project Manager

Chris Foisy, Senior Project ManagerChris has over 25+ years in Senior Project Management positions in commercial, multifamily, and high-end residential construction. Chris joined the team in 2022 after making his final move to Port St. Joe with his family. He enjoys fishing and boating with his family.

Niko Phillips - Superintendent

Niko Phillips, SuperintendentNiko Joined the team in 2019 as a Master Carpenter. Niko comes from a background of diesel truck mechanical work. He is extremely skilled in all aspects of carpentry from Framing, to finish work. Niko shows his incredible skills of being a key team player.

Theresa McGill - Accounting / Bookkeeping

Theresa McGill, AccountingTheresa joined the team in 2018. Coming from a background in accounting, Theresa is in charge of all accounts. She was born and raised in Mexico Beach originally, she returned to the area after many years, living with her Husband in Wewahitchka, Florida. Theresa loves all her farm animals and her oversized pig named Moo Moo.

Joshua Braswell - Superintendent

Joshua Braswell, SuperintendentJosh joined the company in 2022 as a master carpenter. Josh was born and raised in Apalachicola, Florida. Josh comes from a background in all types of construction. He has worked on residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Currently living in Port St. Joe with his wife and baby girl, Josh is a true outdoorsman. He enjoys fishing, hunting, boating, and most importantly his family time.

Melissa VanHeerden - Office Manager

Melissa joined the company in 2022 as office and operations manager. She has a background in accounting and business operations. Melissa lives in Port St. Joe with her family.

John Hohos - Risk Management / Legal

John began his career working on Wall St. as a sales & trading analyst at MF Global in New York. Mr. Hohos later joined JP Morgan Chase in the commercial term-lending group, having participated in financing over $500 million in multi-family and mixed-use properties in the New York City area. Following JP Morgan, Mr. Hohos joined Ollie Holdings as one of the first hires for the company. Ollie is the largest co-living real estate company in North America. Mr. Hohos oversaw all leasing actives for Ollie, executed asset management initiatives across Ollie’s national property portfolio of over 650 beds, and was responsible for structuring Ollie’s international real estate joint ventures. Mr. Hohos received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. John’s University and his Juris Doctor from New York Law School. While in law school, Mr. Hohos worked with the US Court of International Trade and in the New York City Civil Court – Landlord-Tenant Division. He is a licensed Real Estate Sales Associate in the state of New York.

Ross Greenberg - Controller

Ross joined the team in 2022 as controller. Ross is a Certified Public Accountant. Born and raised in Long Island New York, he has since moved with his family to Florida.
